This book felt so real to me. The way Amanda Linette wrote Ria’s journey — from trying to heal family wounds, to learning how to set boundaries, to allowing herself to be loved in a way she wasn’t used to — whew 😮💨. I related to so much of what she was fighting through. You really feel every emotion with her.
The friendship dynamics 👭, the complicated relationship with her mom 💔, the slow-burn tension with Onyx (which was everything, btw 👀🔥) — all of it was written in such a raw and honest way. It’s not just a romance, it’s a full healing journey 🌿.
If you love Black romance with depth, real characters, and that balance of heartbreak and hope 🌸, this one definitely needs to be on your TBR. I can’t wait to see what’s next in The Bloom Series. 💛
